Lo annuncia lo stesso Heining, già autore delle biografie di George Russell, Graham Collier e del fondamentale Trad Dads, Dirty Boppers and Free Fusioneers (Equinox, 2012): "I have now finished solid first drafts for my six chapters - Mike Westbrook, Mike Gibbs, Michael Garrick, Keith Tippett, Barry Guy and John Mayer. The redoubtable Dave Gelly is writing the chapter on Barbara Thompson. I have also finished the Introductory chapter - so it is all systems go. These are detailed career overviews of seven major composers, their work and careers. I have had excellent feedback on their chapters from Mike Westbrook, Mike Gibbs and Barry Guy, and equally positive feedback from Jonathan Mayer and John's wife and from Christian Garrick and Art Themen on the Michael Garrick chapter."
