Una lunghissima amicizia lega la Cuneiform Records ai Miriodor, da qualche tempo disposti in formazione a tre con Pascal Globensky, Rémi Leclerc e Bernard Falaise. L'album che ora giunge a compimento, Elements, il decimo prodotto in studio, potrebbe essere il loro ultimo. Lo fanno intuire i musicisti stessi, con lieve nota di malinconia: "As we get older we learn stuff in life and we learn stuff about music, and I think we’re getting better at it,” says Pascal Globensky with a philosophical laugh. “And that’s something I said to Rémi recently: ‘Well, it’s a bit of a shame if this is the last one, because we’re starting to get good!’”

Appare in cd finalmente nella sua interezza il programma che i Residents presentarono in formazione semi-orchestrale il 4 giugno 2010 - e fu quella l'unica volta - al Berkeley Art Museum & Pacific Film Archive con il titolo So Long Sam (1945-2006), anticipando di oltre un anno la versione che il solo Randy Rose propose poi in più occasioni come Sam's Enchanted Evening. L'iniziativa è della viennese Klanggalerie.

Chi l'aveva perso in prima battuta nel 2004 potrà ritrovarlo ora tale e quale, sempre autoprodotto per El Frenzy: The Legendary Conway Hall Concert (And Other Live Gems) di Bing Selfish and The Ideals, bel documento del gruppo in azione dal vivo con estratti da varie occasioni oltre a quella, per loro storica, del 12 maggio 1990. Ricorda oggi Bing: "Where have you been for the last 40 years? Well, OK, everyone wants to forget the 80's but even those dirt laden years held within them jewels which could inoculate you against as many nostalgia tours as number the hairs on an archbishop's arse. From the opening set in the Conway Hall, a triumphant fiesta over the corpse of the Thatcher years we are taken back and forth in time (mostly - look out for the bassist) to the eye of many a storm created by Bing and the Ideals.
