Tutte le registrazioni in studio e dal vivo che accompagnarono in origine la realizzazione dell'album Remember Mingus (Spotlite, 1979) sono ora riunite in una speciale edizione in 3cd prodotta da John Thurlow di Jazz in Britain in stretta collaborazione con Dave Green, capofila del gruppo Fingers, allora composto oltre a lui da Lol Coxhill, Bruce Turner, Michael Garrick e Alan Jackson: The Complete Fingers Remember Mingus. “I have always felt that an important part of the process of making music is the social interaction of the members within the group. I conceived the idea of Fingers with that thought in mind. Both Bruce Turner and Lol Coxhill were totally unique and highly individual players and although they had never met musically or socially I knew that Lol had a deep respect for Bruce and I had an instinctive feeling that getting them together would work - I'm glad to say I was right.” (Dave Green, 2024).
