Herm sceglie Underdub per ricordare l'amatissimo Phil Miller (1949-2017) nell'ottavo anniversario della sua scomparsa. L'occasione è triste, ma il brano è tra i suoi più gioiosi: "This Saturday 18th just passed was the eighth anniversary of Phil Miller's death and a very sad day for me. Looking back through his life for a piece of music for this page, I have chosen Underdub because it is one of Phil's early pieces. It has been played throughout his career in the various bands he has worked in, Hatfield and the North, the Phil Miller and Fred Baker Duo, In Cahoots in all its line ups and in many countries around the world. Phil said he was inspired to write Underdub after listening to Charlie Parker. It was first played by Hatfield & The North on the French tour they did right after recording it for The Rotters' Club, in February 1975."
